Typical bloody early 70s film director - Chris does a superb guitar break and the camera stays on John Weinzierl's rhythm playing and the drummer throughout! Never mind, it's still great to have this footage, and it's a reminder of what a great and original guitarist/violinist Karrer was and what a great band the Duul were - thanks very much for posting!

We'll I saw them in 1972 and Renate sung at least half this song as Harmony vocals.

There were never any of her vocals on this track and so she wasn't on stage for it. She used to wander on and off as appropriate.Great sound on this, a pretty good performance!

Oh, and "lusty" is a bit positive for "geil". "Geil" was used at the time in a negative sense, whereas "lusty" has always had the sense of "full of fun". (A while ago, "geil" had a bit of a vogue as a positive word. I told a German girl I was learning German, and she replied "Geil!")But what are the words to DGSW doing in the comments on a video of Soap Shop Rock?

Thanks for supplying the words to "Dem Guten Schönen Wahren". I always had trouble making them out (AD-II's German words being almost as obscure as the English.) The translation looks pretty good, although "Moloch" (according to Merriam Webster, a "Semitic god to whom children were sacrificed") needs to be capitalized. Also, some better-placed quotation marks would have helped, to distinguish the bad guy (high voice) from the judges turned executioners (low voices).

Where is renate? Wo ist Renate?

Translation continued:We danced ring-around-the-rosesand sang a beautiful song. The smallest one started crying for her mother;I softly penetrated her with my member.Come in throngs and look at him,his head shaved bald and still he smiles.Let's get to work, it's easily done.Hang him, the lusty moloch - yes!"
